Cultural Tours

The reason Yap is known as the most traditional of the Micronesian Islands is that the people have preserved and adapted their rich complex culture to harmony with life in the 21st century. To experience this first hand be sure and take a full or half day Cultural Tour.

Here you will walk down ancient Stone Paths to a peaceful village and Stone Money Bank. You will visit a traditional Men’s House lined with Stone Money, which is still used today for village meetings.

Dance is a living art form in Yap providing visitors a colorful and exciting look into the culture of Yap. Dances are presented in our on site amphitheater at our Ethnic Art Village. In addition to the traditional Bamboo dances there are Stone money carrying exhibitions, along with local food samplings and authentic cultural demonstrations.
